AbstractPhotonic crystals are very useful not only for controlling which frequencies of light can pass through a system but also for providing unprecedented control of light for wide range of optical applications. The goal of this student project is to simulate a honeycomb photonic crystal structure using MIT Photonic Bands (MPB). The simulated structure is made of gold and, therefore, uses a dispersive electric permitivity. This simulation is currently under development. This is an undergraduate student project and is mainly edited by undergraduate students.
